Description of the 4A category difficulty route to the western summit of Ai-Petri with a detailed indication of the path and characteristics of the complexity.
Ai-Petri (western summit). 4A cat.
The route goes to the left of the main couloir separating the western summit from the central massif. Along the inner corner formed by two ledges on the wall, traverse right under an overhanging rock, bypassing it along a narrow vertical slit. After that, inclined platforms begin. The further path diverges:
- The first one goes up steep rocks along the right edge of a narrow couloir turning into a chimney.
- The second one goes along the wall and traverses left into the couloir. Then go another 25 m to a chimney, then to a pine tree, and then another 40 m to the second pine tree on the right. Here, on the saddle, there's a control cairn. From here, go right to a small chimney with a dry pine tree, and then, bypassing a large rock on the left, ascend to a platform and from it to a pine tree,

Description of two uncomplicated routes "Truba" (2B) and "Cherep" (1A) to the summit of Bashnya peak in Crimea, popular among mountaineers.
Author: Anatoly Brynza, Dnepropetrovsk. Bashnya Tower. Two easy routes in Crimea
Bashnya (610 m above sea level) is located in the area of Sanatornoye village, on the eastern side of the highest peak in the area, Kilsé-Burun. In the 70s, it had the name "Tower above the camp". This is due to the fact that at that time there was water in the well in this area and on May and October holidays, many tent camps of climbers were located here. Now, unfortunately, there is no water.
Bashnya consists of three peaks: Western, Central, and Eastern.
Two very popular easy routes are laid on the Central peak:
- №1 "Truba" (2B)
- №2 "Cherep" (1A) The routes have a common lower part. The approach to the routes starts 400 m east of the houses located under Mt. Kilsé-Burun. There, a trail begins, leading to a fairly simple Bashenny couloir, separating Kilsé-Burun and Bashnya. It is quite easy to ascend to the yayla, as well as descend from it. The approach to the route takes 15–20 minutes. You can descend from the plateau in 30–40 minutes via the Bashenny couloir.

Description of the 2B category difficulty route to the Kilse-Buroun summit via the wall of the left edge of the central part of the massif.
Kilse-Burun — 7.
Up the wall on the left edge of the central part of the massif, 2B (A. Brynza's route, 1990)
The approach to the route starts approximately 200 m west of the campsite. An additional landmark is that the route begins under a rock cirque located between the western and central parts of the massif. Up a gentle slope for 70 m to the start of the main part of the route (R0: 70 m, 40°, category I).
On the section R1–R2 — up 40 m on
simple rocks. Then (section R1–R3) up and right along a crack to a group of trees (R1–R2: 40 m, 65°, I; R2–R3: 40 m, 70°, II).
On section R3–R4 — up and right 40 m to exit into the right part of the rock cirque. Here it is necessary to overcome a large fault in the wall (R3–R4, 40 m, 70°, II).
On section R4–R5 — up and right to a large internal corner located on the left edge of the T-part of the massif (R4–R5, 40 m, 60°, I; 40 m, 45°, I).
The remaining part of the route completely coincides with route №6. On sections R5–R6 — R8–R9 move up a long internal corner to exit onto a terrace. The most difficult part is the exit onto the terrace. Here you need to move on the right side of the corner. On the terrace, the main part of the route ends (R5–R6: 40 m, 60°, I; R6–R7: 40 m, 70°, II; R7–R8: 40 m, 70°, II; R8–R9: 20 m, 70°, II).
From the terrace, enter a wide couloir (section R9–yayla) and up it 200 m on simple rocks to exit onto the summit plateau (R9–yayla: 200 m, 45°, category I).

This is one of the most popular routes in the area among "beginners". Turn from the road
to the trail leading to the Kiev couloir. Go a little along the trail, then:
- ascend the scree slope under the southern wall of the summit;
- bypass it along the scree in the eastern direction;
- ascend to a small couloir between the summits of Maly Kilse and Kilse-Burun (section R0). On section R1–R2 — from the tree at the beginning of the couloir upwards 5 m to the next tree,

Here's a story about how it was. https://www.risk.ru/blog/208185
From the "Kush-Kaya" camping parking lot, we go right - up in the direction of the popular
"Integral" route. Seeing a sign for the start of the multi-pitch "Sabotage 7B+" route, we turn left.
We see a "leaning" two-rope "pillar" against the wall. To the right of the large pine tree,
the "Serp" (Sickle) route begins. We started on "Serp", but we recommend starting to the left
of the "pillar" on "Diretissime". There, the clean and beautiful climb leads through two ropes
to a pine tree on top of the "pillar".
