Possibly the most popular ice route in Ala-Archa, which is climbed by about a hundred mountaineers annually. It is extremely rare to climb it to the summit. In fact, the starting ice wall, about 300 meters long, is considered the route. After reaching the ridge, a descent is available down to the Korona Hut, and further return to the base camp (Ratsek Hut) via the Aksai Glacier.
The route to Peak Korona 2 tower (4810 m) goes through the right gully of the northern wall. The total length of the route (to the summit) is 1450 m, height difference — 1110 m. The main sections of the route include snow and ice slopes with a steepness of up to 60°, as well as an ice gully. The route is suitable for climbers with experience on ice and snow slopes.
