ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Ascent to Karatash peak via the Western couloir from Pravyy Aktru glacier.

The route begins behind the first "Khumba" along a wide couloir running from the saddle between Karatash and Sosulka peaks.

Section: R0–R1. 600 m, 45°, 2. Snow slope. R1–R2. 60 m, 50°, 3. Ice slope, ice screws. R2–R3. 600 m, 2+. Rocky ridge. Protection via rock outcrops.
