for the in-situ pitons, whose pulled-out remnants are weakly held. The жандарм must be crossed with careful lower belay! The жандарм ends abruptly on the ridge with a 3-meter wall. Descent to the ridge can be done in a sportsmanlike manner, by wrapping the rope around one of the firm in-situ pitons.
Further on, the path to the third жандарм is straightforward and goes along easy rocky terrain. The last жандарм is a rock formation inclined to the east, 30–50 m in length. The жандарм is traversed from the left (as one ascends) — the only possible way to overcome it.
One needs to descend along moderate rocks, 3 m, to a ledge, left and down in the direction of travel, and reach a narrow ledge (10 cm) about 2 meters long. The ledge ascends obliquely upwards, leading to a steep internal corner and ends abruptly. After the corner, the ledge continues.
The internal corner is wide with smooth walls; there are very few cracks. The rocks are complex, and progression requires careful piton belay. The holds are small and smooth. By creating additional footholds with driven pitons, this place was traversed with great tension. According to the first ascendants, this is the key section of the entire route.
After the internal corner, the ledge leads to a connecting ridge between the жандарм and the summit tower. The length of this section is about 50 m and takes around 1.5 hours. Here, a 40-meter long single rope was left for descent.
During the ascent of the жандарм, 10 pitons were driven. The ascent to the summit tower begins with a traverse to the right (5 m) along a wall (80°) on a ledge (20 cm). This is a difficult place!
