Brief description of the route

The "Aziya" peak is located in the Ugam ridge (Western Tian-Shan), southwest of the "Sairam" peak — the highest point in the area.

From Chimkent city, follow the asphalt road to the Kask-Su settlement and then continue on the dirt road along the Sairam-Su river to the base camp (see the area map).

From the base camp, follow a good trail along the Kergely river. After 4.5 hours of walking, you reach the overnight stay location near the upper lakes.

The approach to the start of the route takes 1.5 hours, walking along a broad moraine leading to the "Obedinennykh Natsiy" pass; on the left is a rocky ascent. After passing it, move left along the ledges to the shoulder to the control cairn, where the route begins.

The descent from the summit is to the right, down to the upper lake.
