The route follows the arête of the north face of Boksu peak (4270 m) in the Ala-Archa gorge of the Tien Shan. Approach via the Ak-Sai glacier, with the start of the route at the black ice smears. The route is mixed, involving sections of rock climbing, traverses, inside corners, and snow-ice couloirs. The average steepness is 56°, with the steepness of the main technical section at 70–75°. The route length is approximately 1320 m, with 780 m of technical climbing. The elevation gain of the wall section is 540 m, total for the route 760 m. There are piton and rock hook anchors on the crux section. There are also two ledges for tents at station R9. The ascent takes approximately 19–19:30 hours. Descent is via 1B through the Ak-Sai couloir.
