Climbing Routes

Vitaly Akimov's route to Korona peak, 2nd tower. Right couloir of the northern wall, 1450 m, 43 °, snow-ice.

Variant of the classic direct line.

From the upper basin of the Uchitel glacier via the north face to the right of the icefall. Ice route with a rock ridge finish.

Mixed route on a new icicle on the northern wall of the Korona peak. The icicle is 170 meters 85 degrees, the lower part is 450 meters of ice 55-70 degrees.

To 1st tower of Korona via ice couloir on left side of north face of Korona massif (Zabor). Between 1st tower and rock gendarme.

Very even ice route with an average slope of about 60°. Length is 450 meters. Variant of the Plotnikov's route.

Tian-Shan, Kyrgyz Ala-Too. Peak Korona (I), 4810 m. Ice-snow route.

Ak-Sai, Baychechekhey village. Altitude difference 515m, average steepness 75°, 23 walking hours, overnight stay on the ridge.

Tian-Shan, Kyrgyz Ala-Too, Peak Ratzek. Rocky route via western ridge, technically challenging.

Kyrgyz Ala-Too range, Izyskatel peak. Ice and snow route through the center of the northwest face, 400 m, 50°.

Tian Shan, Kyrgyz Ala-Too Range, Ala-Archa gorge. Peak Korona 1st tower. Ice route, 800 m elevation gain, 1050 m.

Kyrgyz Ala-Too, Aksai Gorge. Peak Svobodnaya Koreya, ice couloir, 4740 m, 820 m elevation gain, 1580 m length, 50° steepness.

Тянь-Шань, пик Рацека (3900 м). Южный гребень, 430 м, перепад 210 м, осыпь и скальные стенки.
