Massif: KubaKaya (662 m) Authors: A. Lavrinenko, A. Kuzmenko

Year of route creation: 2009 Route description:

  • R0–R1: 55 m Start on a gray slab, direction towards the trees, then on easy rocks to a large grassy terrace. 10 m V; 45 m II

R1–R2: On an inclined grassy terrace up to the right to a belt of rocks. 100 m easy

R2–R3: 45 m. From the grassy terrace upwards, to 2 m large junipers, station on the left one. III

R3–R4: 40 m. To the right, into an inner corner. Up the corner, then on easy rocks to the right upwards, in the direction of a rusty streak. Station on a tree. II

R4–R5: 45 m. From the station upwards to the right, then on intermittent cracks upwards. In the upper part — a large live "patch". Bypass on the left, on a monolith, there are holes for a 8 mm skyhook. Station on 2 bolts. 45 m VI A3

R5–R6: 25 m. From the station to the right and upwards, on an ITO crack, exit onto a large "nashlepka" (live patch), on it a station (difficult to pass a rope, danger of pulling off the live boulder with the rope), there is a bolt. A2+.

R6–R7: 25 m. From the station to the right upwards, on an overgrown crack. ITO on stoppers and small camalots, quite reliable, but grass interferes. Under an overhang — traverse to the right behind a ridge. Station on 2× bolts. V A2

R7–R8: 50 m

From the station upwards 5 m, then traverse to the right 10 m, further a complex transition into an oblique chimney. Up the chimney to a destroyed overhang, from here to the right:

  • 2 skyhooks in holes,
  • further 2 anchors and another 2 holes,
  • and a transition into climbing left upwards into the chimney.

On an uncomplicated chimney exit onto the yayla.

5 m V+; 10 m II; 30 m VI A2; 5 m III
