Route Description for Ascent to Solnechnaya Peak (Tykhen-Ardyn) 3192 m via the Southeast Counterfort 4A category of difficulty.

The Southeast counterfort descends directly from the summit bastion and is clearly visible.

The route starts to the right of the counterfort ridge.

R0–R1 40 m 65° III+ Ram's foreheads. R1–R2 60 m 45° II– Along a ledge behind a chip. Control cairn. R2–R3 50 m 80° V– Wall to the right of the counterfort ridge. R3–R4 80 m 40° I+ Snowy ridge. R4–R5 20 m 75° V+ Wall. R5–R6 35 m 50° IV– Slab. R6–R7 20 m 40° II– Counterfort ridge. R7–R8 50 m 75° IV+ Inner corner to the right. R8–R9 15 m 75° III+ Wall. Traverse left onto snowy fields. R9–R10 180 m 40° I Snowy field. Exit onto the 2B route. R10–R11 80 m 15° II– Bypass the ridge to the right. R11–R12 4 m 85° III+ Chimney. R12–R13 60 m 15° I Summit ridge. Descent to the east via the 2B category of difficulty route.
