Route Description
Description of the route 2A, 2B category (winter). From the Studenchesky pass, 1B category, along the long ridge to the start of the route. Start of the route: N-E ridge (up to 40°) on firn under R1 tower. Ascent to R1 tower on the right via icy rocks, I–II category. Descent to the saddle between R1 and R2 towers. Belaying via a sling. Ascent via icy ledges under the crux of R2 tower. Crux — inner corner with a slight overhang at the top (R5). Descent from R2 tower with a 25–40 m rappel and then from the saddle, bypassing R1 tower, onto the N-E ridge. Descent along R0–R2 ridge (caution: karst on the left, see photo).
