Here, an overnight stay is possible: there is water available in mid-summer.

The ascent to the ridge begins after circumventing the rocks along the edge of the snow on the right side, in the lower part of the gendarme — via broken rocks. Proceed in the direction of the saddle between the gendarme and the second part of the ridge ascent. After reaching the saddle, move slightly to the left. Belay is via pitons; piton placement is necessary for belaying and for artificial anchors. Further along the ridge:

• monolithic rock sections are circumvented on the left
• via loose rocks — ascent to the summit of Жанатау.

Descent from the summit towards the summit of Ленинградец is initially via rocks, then via a steep snowy section leading to a snow platform in front of the monolithic rock Зуб, rising before the second pass. Descend to the foot of the wall above the second pass via a steep snow-ice slope (55–60°) stretching up to 40 m. Along the snowy ridge, approach the wall; there is a cleft on the right leading upwards; to the right of the ridge are steep slabs. Here, the ascent is via the edge of the slabs and snow; belay is via pitons. On the ridge above the wall, there is a control cairn.

Further along the ridge, via a snow depression between the rocks and the snow ridge — a snowdrift.

Ascent to the summit of Ленинградец from the pass is via:

• loose, sometimes icy rocks (about fifteen meters);
• a straightforward ridge.

From the overnight stay, it takes 11–12 hours.

A possible camping spot is to the southwest of the summit of Ленинградец.

Descent from the summit of Ленинградец involves retracing the path back over the summit and part of the ridge. Traverse the slope to the left towards the lower part of the bergschrund at the start of the ridge, along which the descent is made. The snowy ridge has a slope of up to 40°. Proceed to the rocky gendarme, which is circumvented on the left via scree. After the gendarme, rejoin the ridge and descend via scree to the glacier Конституция. The descent from the summit of Ленинградец to the original bivouac site takes 2.5–3 hours.
